Last Minute Race Tips
Whatever you did during training is what you should do on race day!
Save the brand NEW gear and UNTESTED snacks for training!
Neatly trim those toenails the night before the race!
Know the race day weather and dress appropriately!
Will you need a top layer of “disposable” clothing to discard moments before the race?
Dry air? Use your non-medicated nasal saline spray - or neti pot - but NOT while racing!
Review your old training logs for pre-race inspiration!
Always train and race with some form of personal ID attached to your clothing or shoes.
During the race, monitor your: 1) pace 2) breathing 3) hydration 4) muscles 5) energy!
If you see spots…seek medical attention immediately – seriously, stop racing!
If an area rubs, it will be raw! Keywords: waterproof adhesive bandages, petro jelly, etc.
Transform yourself from participant to FINISHER – go for it!
